About The Position

The Recovery Counselor is a paraprofessional treatment team member who provides direct care to meet clients’ physical and psychosocial needs through direct and indirect physical and verbal interaction. The role helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients, visitors, staff, and physicians by following safety regulations, modeling appropriate behavior, monitoring clients’ daily activities, and maintaining vigilance over the facility’s general milieu. Duties include maintaining the facility in a clean, orderly, sanitary, and attractive condition; assisting with client laundry, household cleaning, and other tasks; and driving clients in a company vehicle when requested.
