The Peer Coach will assess individual needs, provide motivational support, and act as part of a primary team for residents. Responsibilities include maintaining awareness of crisis plans, assisting with life skills, advocating for clients, performing administrative duties, and supporting transitions to discharge. Collaboration with other service providers and participation in program development are key. The role requires monitoring clients, facilitating individual and group support, and maintaining professional boundaries. General responsibilities include assisting with program delivery, maintaining the supply room, conducting regular rounds, ensuring a safe environment, maintaining documentation, and managing client supplies. The position also involves networking with community agencies, enforcing agency rules, managing emergency situations, and completing administrative tasks like timesheets and expense claims. Regular individual supervision and participation in a peer support community of practice are provided. The role operates under the OH&S Act and Regulations and The Salvation Army's health and safety policies.
