About The Position

The Recovery Coach is responsible for providing non-clinical support services within the Peer Recovery Support Centers to support members within the center. This support is provided from their own lived experience with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders. The role involves providing health and wellness coaching to patients and assisting them in identifying and utilizing health and wellness supports in the community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of uninterrupted recovery required.
  • Completion of Recovery Coach Academy and Recovery coach certification required within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services.
  • Strong skills in communication, follow through, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in contemporary Windows operating systems and Windows office suites with an emphasis on Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems; experience entering and working with data; and comfort and experience using mobile technologies.
  • High energy level, flexibility, superior interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have access to a safe, operational, and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport Members.

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of uninterrupted recovery preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide non-clinical support services within the Peer Recovery Support Centers to support members.
  • Provide support based on lived experience with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Offer health and wellness coaching to patients.
  • Assist patients in identifying and utilizing health and wellness supports in the community.
  • Use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Function in a multidisciplinary team atmosphere while also working independently.
  • Transport Members using a personal vehicle.
