This is a per diem, overnight shift position with hours ranging from 8 to 30 per week. The Recovery Advocate supports the admission, transfer, and discharge process for patients, conducts searches, facilitates orientation, and organizes patient movement. They ensure patient attendance to programming, accompany patients to meals and activities, and assist with meetings. The role involves monitoring patients during emergencies, assisting clinical teams with behavior assessment, and supporting elopement and AMA/ASA protocols. Maintaining communication with clinical staff, conducting hourly head counts, documenting patient behavior, de-escalating patients, and performing room checks are key responsibilities. The advocate educates patients on recovery skills, conducts suicide risk assessments, and follows protocols for patients returning from passes.
