This is a per diem, second shift position for a Recovery Advocate. The role involves supporting patients throughout their treatment process, including admissions, transfers, and discharges. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, behavioral assessment, de-escalation, and assisting with various patient activities and appointments. The advocate will also educate patients on recovery skills and may present educational lectures. A key aspect of the role is to serve as a positive role model for patients, demonstrating recovery principles in decorum, speech, and behavior. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, proficient computer skills, and a basic understanding of substance use disorders and recovery program philosophies. Candidates must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with at least 5 years of experience, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Experience working with the respective populations and 2 years of continuous sobriety (if in recovery) are preferred. This is a safety-sensitive position.
