About The Position

Sarver Streeter Orthodontics is seeking an eager-to-learn team member to support its orthodontic practice. The Records Technician is the primary support person for the treatment coordinator, assisting with activities involving the treatment coordinator and patients. The role offers additional training and the opportunity to advance into positions with greater clinical and patient-care responsibilities, based on performance and development. The technician is expected to contribute positively and professionally while helping provide patients with excellent service and esthetic results.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate techniques used in the orthodontic field effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of orthodontics and orthodontic equipment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Establish trusting rapport with patients and provide a high level of customer service.
• Take X-rays and pictures, and fabricate retainers.
• Work with the treatment coordinator and doctor to maintain patient charts and accurately transcribe doctor notes.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and organized; clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment.
• Be receptive to coaching and training from doctors and orthodontic assistants to develop skills.
• Perform other duties as required.
