About The Position

The Reconstruction Project Manager oversees residential and commercial reconstruction projects from initial planning through completion. This role involves managing scope development, client and adjuster communication, budgeting, documentation, and field production oversight. Responsibilities include participating in mitigation job evaluations, supporting estimation processes, coordinating subcontractors, managing financial aspects of the job, and ensuring compliance with internal systems such as DASH and XactAnalysis. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and adjusters, works closely with internal teams to resolve issues, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards. This role requires a combination of field knowledge, administrative oversight, and customer service.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance restoration background within Mitigation and Reconstruction Management preferred
  • Proficient in industry specific software including Dash and Xactimate preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Calendar, composing emails, QuickBooks etc
  • Industry specific certifications preferred: IICRC (Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification), WTR, ASD, ARMT, FSRT, OCT, HST, CCT, UFT, CRT, RRT

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Reconstruction Manager for job related items.
  • Attends mitigation phase to sell repairs to insured and begins planning of scope as well as discussions with the adjuster to start estimation process.
  • Sets and manages expectations with the customer regarding estimate approval, start and end dates, change orders, insurance payments, mortgage company involvement, and deposits.
  • Assists Estimator with scope preparation.
  • Reviews estimate prepared by Estimator and drives communication with the client. Along with the Estimator is responsible for estimate approval OR is entirely responsible for estimate approval.
  • Hosts and directs pre-construction meeting. Formulates plan for the Superintendent to run the production of the job. Expectation is that for most jobs they’ll have 2-3 site visits (beginning, middle, and end). Larger and/or complicated jobs will require more site visits.
  • Works with Project Coordinator to pull building permits as necessary.
  • Project Manager is fully responsible for accounting details of the job.
  • Collects 100% ACV and deductible either at start or prior to completion.
  • Works with adjuster on release of depreciation and review and approval of supplements.
  • Works with insured on CO details and collections.
  • Assists AR with mortgage process submittals and draws.
  • Prepares initial budget for Reconstruction Manager's review.
  • Works directly with the Estimator to prepare CO’s and supplements for review by the Reconstruction Manager.
  • Works with customers to resolve conflicts.
  • Works with subcontractors to resolve conflicts.
  • Conducts final walk-through with customer.
  • File compliance – Dash, XA, and Accounting
