The Reconstruction Estimator (RE) with Paul Davis conducts thorough on-site inspections and damage assessments of residential and commercial properties. They prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for full reconstruction or major repair projects using industry-standard estimating software like XM8 and Symbility. The role involves collaborating with insurance adjusters, property owners, contractors, architects, and engineers to review scopes of work and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, the RE tracks and documents all communications, site conditions, and decisions throughout the estimating and negotiation process, and assists the reconstruction/project management team with estimate handover and ongoing cost tracking. This role is critical for restoration contractors to serve customers in their time of need, acting as the financial and technical bridge between a damaged property and a successful reconstruction project.
