About The Position

The Reconditioning position at Seidel Hyundai is a part time hourly role in the auto industry located in Reading, Pennsylvania. This individual contributor role is responsible for ensuring that new and used vehicles are prepared for sale at our dealership. As a member of the Reconditioning team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and appearance of our inventory to provide an exceptional experience for our customers. Requirements

  • Active High school Student or Diploma Received
  • Prior experience in auto reconditioning or maintenance preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in auto reconditioning or maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects such as dents, scratches torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
  • Provides automotive interior 'reconditioning' and repairs for vehicles at dealership using the approved system.
  • Polishes scratches and retouches with enamel.
  • Sews rips and tears in upholstery, cleans and vacuums vehicle interiors.
  • Washes and polishes vehicle exteriors, performs minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
  • Inspects vehicle for compliance with state safety regulations using a written checklist and completed necessary repairs or has necessary repairs completed by service department after obtaining approval.
  • Meets established weekly and monthly production goals.
