About The Position

The Reconditioning Technician - Collision Center is responsible for the repair, replacement, and restoration of various automotive parts. This role requires meeting management's benchmarks for sales per repair order and gross profit, demonstrating resourcefulness, and communicating with dealerships regarding repair status. The technician must ensure proper vehicle protection procedures are followed, maintain a clean work area, and adhere to safety precautions. Additionally, the role involves using a personal device for multi-factor authentication for network and site access and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand verbal and written instructions and warning labels
  • Ability to work well with a range of individuals

  • Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Will frequently be exposed to neck flexion/extension, head/neck rotation, awkward shoulder/arm positions, and frequent and/or sustained awkward wrist positions. Access during repairs can place the body in awkward positions
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally required to lift in excess of 100 lbs with proper assistance
  • Will frequently be exposed to loud noises and must be able to locate and discriminate sounds in this loud environment
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
  • Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol urinalysis and be able to drive a vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Completion of Vocational Program or two years auto repair experience

  • Maintain good housekeeping of work area
  • Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
  • Must follow safety precautions specific to work area and immediately report any-and-all accidents to a manager/supervisor
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
