Mike Maroone Cadillac GMC is looking for a Reconditioning Technician who knows their way around most makes and takes ownership in their work. This role is all about prepping pre-owned vehicles for retail -- mechanically sound, clean, safe, and customer-ready. If you enjoy variety, steady workflow, and working with a team that respect techs, this your lane.

Requirements

• 2+ years of automotive service or reconditioning technician experience
• Must have own tools
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and software
• Detail-oriented with solid time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications are a plus (not a deal-breaker)

Responsibilities

• Inspecting pre-owned vehicles for mechanical and cosmetic needs
• Performing repairs such as brakes, oil changes, tune-ups, tires, and basic electrical diagnostics
• Ensuring every vehicle meets safety, quality, and presentation standards before hitting the display areas
• Documenting work accurately using shop software
• Coordinating with Parts, Service, and Sales to hit reconditioning timelines
• Performing final quality checks (because comebacks are not the vibe)
• Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and professional
