About The Position

Mary Immaculate Catholic School provides a Christ-centered learning environment that fosters wonder and excitement, enkindling the desire in each student to be a lifelong learner. Mary Immaculate is a Catholic elementary school (PreK4-8) in the Diocese of Dallas, located in the heart of Farmers Branch, TX. Under the guidance of the Nashville Dominican Sisters, we strive to help students come to know and love the Person of Jesus Christ as they strive for college and heaven. We form our students in mind, body, and spirit. Mary Immaculate School is currently seeking applicants to supervise students in our Extended Day Program for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates should possess a joy for working with young students, have a warm and welcoming attitude, and work well with others. The candidate must be able to receive instruction and follow through on tasks, and be willing to participate in various training courses, including discipline and classroom management strategies.

Requirements

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 10:30am-1:30pm, with certain exceptions including days before a holiday and early release days.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • No experience required
  • Special hours or days required for the position (less than 20 hours per week)
  • This position requires a Pre-Employment Declaration.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; walk; stand; and sit.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee may occasionally climb stairs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision.

  • Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
  • Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
  • Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
  • Supervises students during recess
  • Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
  • Ability to follow directions and handle multiple tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Abide by all policies as outlined in the Catholic Schools Office Handbook of Policies and Procedures for Elementary and Secondary Schools
