The Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support. This role involves answering multi-line phones, greeting visitors, maintaining and preparing conference rooms, and performing various administrative tasks. The Receptionist is the "face of the Firm" and must always demonstrate a professional demeanor. The Receptionist is required to be in office 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a CPA or professional services firm ideal
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and pleasant, positive demeanor.
  • Able to extend commitments during periods of meeting critical deadlines (January through April 15th and September through October 15th including Saturdays and evenings)
  • Ability to travel to Boston office for coverage when necessary
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work in the office 5 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at a Public Accounting Firm.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including preparing FedEx and courier shipments.
  • Take mail and packages to Post office and FedEx Shipment center as necessary.
  • Answer incoming calls using Microsoft teams and transfer to appropriate staff as necessary.
  • Greet visitors -and direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain office and kitchen supplies
  • Ensure cleanliness of office including conference rooms and kitchens
  • Assist with Administrative projects as needed.
  • Assist with events and catering
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
  • Edit and proofread PowerPoint presentations from various sources as directed.
  • Capable of taking direction from a variety of sources including Partners, managers and other administrative professionals.
  • Must follow Firm’s procedures and protocol.
