About The Position

The Receptionist greets visitors to the facility, ensuring proper sign-in/out procedures are followed and building security protocols are adhered to for resident safety. This role involves answering phones and transferring calls to the appropriate resident room or department, as well as performing administrative duties for all departments as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes visitors into the facility and ensures they follow established proper sign-in/sign-out procedures.
  • Performs administrative support duties as assigned by facility department heads, including typing, copying, and mail delivery.
  • Answers all facility telephone calls, transferring to the appropriate resident, staff member, or department.
  • Uses the facility intercom system for making announcements and paging staff as requested.
  • Sorts facility mail received and places it in proper mailboxes for staff and residents.
  • Maintains resident list and resident mail instructions.
  • Completes missing items report.
  • Ensures safety procedures are followed and monitors all doors to prevent resident elopement.
  • Makes door tags for new residents as requested.
  • Attends all required mandatory in-services.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program when performing work functions.
  • Performs any duties as assigned by supervisor.
