About The Position

We are looking for a friendly, welcoming, energetic, child-friendly, self-motivated receptionist to manage our front desk at Panda Pediatrics. Dr. Baoping Qian and Dr. Joanne Li-Pelaez are happy to team together with their nurse Stacy Rodriguez to open Panda Pediatrics. The team first met when working for a large multi-discipline practice in Austin. We grew together and became a cohesive team in their previous clinic, now we decide to open a smaller private practice, Panda Pediatrics. The mission of Panda Pediatrics is to promote wellness and preventive care by focusing on healthy growth and development, and to deliver high quality health care in a pleasant environment. In order to achieve this goal, we know it is essential to get to know not only each child but also each family. We also want to help every patient understand disease processes, developmental norms, and healthy lifestyle choices, thereby empowering them in their decisions.

Requirements

Bilingual English-Spanish required.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Familiar with computers and scheduling software
Excellent multi-tasking skills

Nice To Haves

One year of customer service experience is preferred
Previous experience as a receptionist is preferred

Responsibilities

Greet all patients and families with a warm smile.
Verify insurance prior to patient appointments.
Check patients in and out.
Be able to communicate to parents about co-pays and other feeds due at time of service.
Schedule patient appointments according to guidelines.
Multitask multiple phone lines.
Scan new patient charts and consultation notes into EMR software.
Keep waiting rooms organized and clean.
Manage office workflow/schedule.
Balance charges and receipts at the end of each day.
Collect co-pays and outstanding patient balances.
Provide general customer service and attend to the needs of customers throughout their services.
