About The Position

The Receptionist will be the welcoming face of the Betterment office, as the first person people see when they come in. This individual will bring positive energy and enthusiasm to the Betterment office, as well as willingness to be proactive and take initiative on anything they see that needs to be done around the office. They will work to ensure a positive experience for all Betterment employees and visitors. This role is based out of our NYC office. This role is required to be in the office 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role required
  • Punctuality and the ability to be in-office five days a week
  • Strong presence, confidence, and professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for client service and interacting with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to organize, manage, and plan several concurrent initiatives with varying priorities

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and announce clients, candidates, and visitors to Betterment
  • Be a positive and welcoming presence for all Betterment employees, vendors and guests
  • Open, maintain, and close down the reception area and ensuring organization at all times
  • Be the point of direction for everyone that comes into the office and onboarding new hires
  • Set up security credentials for new employees and troubleshoot access issues for existing employees
  • Understand security and safety procedures, helping ensure compliance by guests and employees
  • Perform other administrative tasks and assist with company events, as needed
  • Receive all incoming mail and packages and ensure they are distributed in an accurate, timely manner
