Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • De-escalation Training: Handle With Care (HWC) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous receptionist, clerical, or customer service experience preferred.
  • At least six months of front desk or receptionist experience preferred.
  • Behavioral health or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors while maintaining facility visitor procedures and safety protocols.
  • Answer and route incoming calls through a multi-line switchboard in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Utilize paging systems and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain visitation records and monitor compliance with visitor policies.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to various departments, including Admissions, as assigned.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Support patient and employee requests in a professional manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information.
  • Participate in required training, quality improvement initiatives, and department meetings.
