The incumbent is responsible for all scheduling tasks within the Medical Unit and supports administrative assistants as needed. This role involves managing incoming calls, accurately scheduling appointments, transferring calls appropriately, and performing administrative duties to ensure adequate patient care. The receptionist will also notify patients of appointment changes, handle patient communications, generate various documents, and accurately record patient information in the electronic health record, adhering to HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations. Additionally, the role includes directing patients, performing general medical office duties such as maintenance and stocking, promoting Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) guidelines, fostering a cooperative work environment, upholding the mission of the Seneca Nation Health System, and providing care through a trauma-informed lens. The position requires attendance at mandatory meetings and adherence to all policies and procedures.
