Surround yourself with people who care about making a difference – come join us! We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time, Receptionist to join the Longview Premier Assisted Living facility. The Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls and referring them to the proper person and department. Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned. Assists and directs residents, families and visitors. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, Assisted Living Principles and the mission statement of the Christian Health.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
  • Receptionist experience preferred.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations.

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming calls and referring them to the proper person and department.
  • Performing miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.
  • Assisting and directing residents, families and visitors.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of, and embracing, Assisted Living Principles and the mission statement of the Christian Health.
  • Assisting administrative staff with: Typing, Mailings, Collation and storage of medical records.
  • Giving directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
  • Greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate locations.
  • Demonstrating understanding of Assisted Living Principles including Resident choice, privacy, independence, dignity in all interactions with Resident.
  • Assuring that work area is clean, well organized and equipment is covered/secured at the end of the workday.
  • Separating and distributing mail in a timely manner.
  • Answering telephone, determining nature of call and directing callers to appropriate individual or department.
  • Receiving inquiries and releasing information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining newspaper roster and ensuring prompt delivery.
  • Forwarding census changes to appropriate departments/agencies in conjunction with Community Relations Coordinator.
  • Maintaining office supply inventory.
  • Assisting with completion of the census and generating email notices to staff regarding census changes.
  • Ensuring guest/visitors abide by facility rules and reporting unresolved incidents to appropriate supervisor.
  • Reporting suspicious persons/information to appropriate department head/supervisor.
  • Ordering flowers for hospitalized residents.
