About The Position

The Receptionist is responsible for providing courteous and efficient “front desk” support for residents, guests and employees at Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH).

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Sense of humor and pleasant demeanor – ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel and Word
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional holidays, as required
  • Empathy toward the elderly and to geriatric issues and challenges

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of 2 years working in a reception type setting
  • High school degree, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Greeting visitors to the community
  • Answer telephone calls and direct/transfer calls to the appropriate location received at the front desk
  • Forwards resident requests for services to the applicable department and/or staff members
  • Receives and arranges for distribution of mail, packages and vendor deliveries received at the front desk
  • Protect residents’ rights, records, and privacy as required by federal, state and local regulations
  • Practice AMH’s Service Standards in all work situations
  • Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, resident and Academy Boulder matters
  • Be organized and efficient in managing workload
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Communications with resident in staff, both written and verbal
