About The Position

As the first point of contact for people when they reach out to WBUR, the receptionist is responsible for answering telephone calls, greeting visitors, and responding emails with a friendly demeanor and a focus on being as helpful as possible. Along with the front-facing responsibilities, this position will also be responsible for light support tasks such as updating certain correspondence trackers, assisting with break-room upkeep, and ensuring that the facilities are kept in a clean and orderly manner. WBUR is Boston's NPR and a public media leader, producing exceptional journalism on-air, online, on-demand, and in real life. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage reception desk operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Respond to and forward calls, maintain station email inboxes, provide guest access to building and parking garage and some administrative tasks.
  • Maintain fresh coffee, clean, and organize breakroom.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen supplies and equipment including dishwasher, coffee machine, range, and other equipment.
  • Receive and distribute packages and mail as they are delivered to or picked up from WBUR's studio.
