Program Manager, Engineering Ops

AderantAtlanta, GA

About The Position

This role will drive clarity, delivery, and decision-making across complex initiatives, ensuring teams ship predictably while leaders have real-time visibility into progress, risks, and tradeoffs. Aderant is a global industry-leading software company providing comprehensive business management solutions for law firms and other professional services organizations. They are motivated by a collective desire to drive the legal industry to the forefront of innovation. With over 2,500 clients around the world, including 95 of the top AmLaw 100 firms, they are changing the outside perception of the legal sphere; where there was once resistance to modernization, they are creating a culture that embraces new ideas and technology. At Aderant, the “A” is more than just a letter. It is a representation of how they fulfill their foundational purpose, serving their clients. It embodies their core values and reminds them that to achieve success, every day must start with the “A”. They bring the “A” to life by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and personal growth. They encourage their diverse teams to bring their whole selves to work – ideas, experience, and passion – to drive their mission forward. Their people are their strength.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years' experience in Program Management / Technical Program Management / Product Ops / Delivery roles in SaaS organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong written and verbal executive communication – can produce crisp updates and facilitate decisions.
  • Comfortable with modern tooling (e.g., Jira/Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Smartsheet).
  • Strong fundamentals in scope management, sequencing, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms, enterprise customers, regulated/contract-heavy environments, or release governance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience standing up program governance (intake, prioritization, portfolio views).
  • Familiarity with SDLC / release management concepts and metrics (cycle time, throughput, predictability).
  • Experience partnering with Support/Services on release readiness, communications, and customer impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end program delivery for cross-functional R&D initiatives: planning and governance, milestone and dependency tracking, stakeholder engagement, and release readiness.
  • Build operating rhythms for your programs: execution reviews, decision logs, stakeholder updates, and quarterly planning inputs.
  • Create visibility that leaders trust: status narratives, dashboards, and “what matters / what changed / what we need” updates (not just activity reporting).
  • Drive dependency management across teams – identify path blockers early, negotiate sequencing, and escalate with clear options.
  • Improve execution systems: standardize templates and frameworks, intake workflows, program artifacts, and ways of working (lightweight but consistent).
  • Facilitate planning: support quarterly planning, capacity conversations, and tradeoff decisions using data and clear problem statements.
  • Partner tightly with Engineering & Product leaders to translate strategy into executable plans and ensure delivery aligns to outcomes.
  • Run clean ceremonies when helpful (kickoffs, sprint planning, retros, release readiness reviews, stakeholder demos).
