The Receptionist 1 receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. The Receptionist I serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, creating a welcoming and professional experience. This role is responsible for answering and directing calls through a multi-line phone system, taking and distributing messages, greeting visitors, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor logs. The Receptionist I responds to routine inquiries regarding office locations, hours of operation, and contact information while ensuring visitors are directed to the appropriate department or employee. Additional responsibilities include scheduling meeting rooms, processing mail and courier deliveries, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage routine tasks efficiently while following established procedures and service standards.
