About The Position

Life is Precious. Make Someone’s Life Better. The Receptionist will receive direction from the Administrator on overall QAPI objectives for the organization. They will be knowledgeable in data collection, data analysis methodology and performance improvement methods needed to support and lead performance improvement projects. The role involves identifying opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations and consultation with leadership and staff. Collaboration with the quality committee and senior leaders to prioritize and develop QAPI efforts is key. The Receptionist will lead performance improvement projects and provide education and coaching in order to build needed skills in others to lead PIPs, and participate in multidisciplinary QAPI activities. The Receptionist will consistently model and demonstrate excellence in customer service, with a constant focus on person-centered care/services delivery. They will keep the foyer/entrance area professional, neat, clean and orderly, and regularly clean/sanitize the reception area. Greeting and directing all visitors courteously (scheduled and walk-in) in person or via telephone, directing calls, taking messages, and routing to VM are primary duties. The Receptionist will direct persons related to admissions, tours, and questions about Baptist Life Communities. Being knowledgeable of all the entities and services of Baptist Life Communities in order to be able to direct customer/potential customer to the correct resource or staff person is essential. This role includes clerical and switchboard operations for the campus telephone system as well as other types of communication such as typing, spreadsheet preparation, message taking and communication. Providing clerical services such as completing logs, filing, selling stamps, tracking resident meals and selling meal tickets (as indicated), receiving packages, ordering and stocking office supplies, receiving and sending mail and directing visitors to sign in and out are also part of the job. Operating office equipment such as copiers, fax, telephone system, etc., and processing and logging maintenance requests via the TELS system are required. The Receptionist will assist with Fire Watch Protocol as indicated: i.e. walking rounds every 20 minutes rounding all floors as indicated. Responding to any area or entrance as the need arises, and assisting with resident needs as indicated are also responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school education required
  • Good knowledge of office procedures
  • Good knowledge of office technology
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheet presentation and writing software packages
