About The Position

This position supports the mission of KTIS by serving as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for listeners, donors, and guests. The role provides administrative support for daily office operations and demonstrates Christ-like hospitality and integrity in every interaction. Because our community is a significant part of our mission and the development of our students and listeners, all employees serve as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ by actively partnering with the University to disciple students as they grow intellectually and spiritually, and with Northwestern Media to lead people to Christ and nurture believers to maturity in their faith.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year related professional administrative experience
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and position related software.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for listeners, donors, guests, and callers by providing professional, timely, and welcoming service, and ensuring inquiries are appropriately addressed or directed.
  • Support efficient day-to-day office operations by maintaining a welcoming front-office environment and assisting with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Provide administrative assistance through project support, coordination of assigned activities, and completion of general office tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
