About The Position
Encompass Medical Group is a primary care provider group with five offices in the Kansas City metro area, dedicated to high standards of healthcare excellence. They are seeking a Receptionist for their Independence office. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling cash collection and deposits, and maintaining good public relations. The company offers a $500 sign-on bonus after the probationary period and another $500 after one year of service. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Medical terminology
- Prior office/clerical experience
- Basic computer skills
- Good speaking voice
- Computer skills
- Customer service focused
Responsibilities
- Receives all incoming calls for the department and refers them after collecting all required patient data when appropriate to the appropriate personnel
- Makes appointments over the phone and in person
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Cash collection and deposit
- Other clerical duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
