Bayshore Healthcare is hiring a Part-Time Receptionist for The Greystone Transitional Care Unit (TCU). This role is suitable for individuals who excel in a fast-paced care environment and are dedicated to supporting patients, families, and clinical teams with professionalism and empathy. Availability on weekends and evenings is required to meet the unit's needs and ensure continuous care.

Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma (clerical/receptionist training preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of receptionist experience, ideally in a healthcare or similar setting
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Windows software and multi-line phone systems
  • A caring, proactive attitude and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment
  • Availability to work weekends and evenings

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors with warmth, compassion, and professionalism
  • Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, creating a calm and welcoming environment
  • Manage a busy multi-line phone system, answering and transferring calls efficiently
  • Monitor and maintain the front lobby area to ensure it is clean, safe, and organized
  • Support the care team with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and internal communications
  • Handle sensitive patient and corporate information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Participate in health and safety initiatives and report any risks or concerns to your supervisor
  • Engage in ongoing learning and contribute to quality improvement activities
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth daily operations
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative by assisting with additional tasks as needed
