About The Position

PBP Solutions, LLC is seeking a Receptionist to join their team in the northern Virginia area. This role will be based at a client site within the healthcare industry. The Receptionist will act on behalf of the client to greet visitors and perform other administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will create a professional and qualified first impression, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, have a basic understanding of administrative procedures, and be able to multitask in a busy environment. Training is available for this position.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Reliable, professional, courteous and patient
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Associates degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Understand assigned roles and respond to Hospital Emergency Codes, alerts or any others that may be developed.
  • Approach customers upon entering to assist with directions and information regarding locations within the hospital and surrounding areas.
  • Monitor all visitors, guests, and staff for ID policy compliance and report violations to the supervisor.
  • Utilize standard concepts, practices, and procedures for handling inquiries and customer requests to provide proactive and immediate support.
  • Arrange for transport from the dispatcher for customers needing to meet appointments or requiring directions.
  • Have working knowledge of all necessary points of contact to solve problems and satisfy customer expectations.
  • Assist with opening doors and ensuring properly functioning handicap doors, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • At the end and beginning of shifts: Collect wheelchairs, crutches, and walkers and return them to designated areas.
  • Check for unsecured doors and report safety, security, and maintenance concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Assist patients with getting in and out of their vehicles, cabs, and shuttle buses.
  • Assist with conducting operational exercises related to the Hospital Emergency Management System.
  • Assist the Command with the voice of the customer, via distribution and collection of patient satisfactory surveys.
  • Report any issues related to effectively executing duties to the supervisor.
  • Render aid to customers in need within the scope of training and Basic Life Saver Certification Standards, and immediately report to supervisor.
  • Assist hospital staff with evacuating customers during Mass Casualty (MASCAL) events or emergency services.
  • Greet customers in a friendly manner and direct and/or escort guests to designated areas or services.
  • Greet patients at the doors, ask specific screening questions regarding appointments, official business, COVID-19 symptoms, and recent exposure, and then direct patients to the appropriate clinics/areas.
