About The Position

The Receptionist / Operations Assistant serves as the primary front-desk presence for Aurex headquarters and is the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and external partners. This role is responsible for delivering a professional, welcoming reception experience while ensuring compliance with established visitor management and security procedures. This position plays a key role in daily headquarters activities and provides exposure to company-wide support functions, creating opportunities for advancement into future corporate support roles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a front-facing role.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to work onsite during standard daytime business hours.
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional office or security-sensitive environment (e.g., defense, aerospace, or law enforcement).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in all visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verify visitor information, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Ensure visitors remain in the lobby until met and escorted by authorized personnel.
  • Communicate visitor arrivals promptly to internal staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming external calls to headquarters.
  • Answer, screen, and route calls accurately and professionally.
  • Provide general information and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Receive, organize, and distribute incoming mail to designated recipients, ensuring it is handled appropriately.
  • Coordinate outbound shipping services for Headquarters operation staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby environment.
  • Assist the security team with administrative tasks such as updating logs, coordinating badge-related activities, and supporting day-to-day operations.
  • Perform miscellaneous office support tasks such as stocking the company breakroom, inventorying office supplies, and helping with other duties as assigned.
  • Follow established security procedures related to visitor access and escort requirements.
  • Serve as a communication point during emergencies, evacuations, or other facility incidents, following established protocols.
