About The Position

The receptionist floater position does require travel to other HEA locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement is available when traveling outside of main/home location. The Receptionist floater will assist patients in-person and over-the-phone with checking-in and out, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing payments, handling copays, and other tasks while providing exemplary customer service.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
One (1) year office experience.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

To provide superior patient care services, treating all patients and guests with compassion and respect.
Greets all patients and guests with a smile and helpful manner.
Communicates effectively with others including but not limited to patients, guests, colleagues and physicians.
Provide patients with necessary instructions or directions.
Process patient documentation and update patient demographics with accuracy.
Triage incoming calls promptly and in a pleasant manner.
Review all phone messages and return calls timely and/or direct messages to appropriate person.
Verify insurance and determine if prior authorizations or referrals are required for upcoming appointments.
Close-out daily batches promptly and with accuracy.
Maintains a clean and organized waiting room and work area.
Travel may be required to surrounding HEA offices to provide front desk coverage when needed.
Must meet and adhere to HEAs policies and procedures, uphold to the highest ethical principles and patient confidentiality.
Complies with all State and Federal regulations.
Other duties as assigned based on business operational needs.
