About The Position

The Receiving position is responsible for operating a forklift and performing picking, packing, sorting, shipping, and receiving tasks to meet facility productivity and quality goals. The role is located at 2802 Holmes in Houston, Texas, and works a day shift on a consistent schedule starting at 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

2–5 years of experience in shipping and receiving.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Experience with Outlook 365 apps due to heavy email traffic.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
Ability to work a consistent schedule starting at 7:00 a.m.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Reliable transportation.
Commitment to working safely and following operation policies and procedures.
Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.
Ability to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and reach for long periods; work may also include climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

Receive and unload freight manually or using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Check goods for damage.
Verify order quantity and quality against purchase orders.
Deliver and retrieve products from storage areas.
Tag and issue products.
Stock shelves and rotate inventory.
Determine shipping methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Assemble pallets or select preassembled containers and pack items using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
Operate forklifts, reach trucks, or stand-up order pickers to move, transport, or hoist materials.
Follow safety precautions and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.
Maintain housekeeping in the assigned work area.
Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor or manager.
