About The Position

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate receiving of incoming raw material, both in the warehouse and the ERP system (JDEdwards). The Receiving Specialist will issue materials to support the production floor and sales team in FIFO order. Requirements

  • Timely and accurate receiving of incoming raw material.
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDEdwards mentioned).
  • Ability to issue materials in FIFO order.
  • Ability to examine containers for damage.
  • Ability to communicate about missing or damaged inventory.
  • Ability to inspect receiving documents for completeness.
  • Ability to notify purchasing team of document issues.
  • Ability to verify material and quantity.
  • Accurate transaction of part, lot number, unit of measure and quantity in JDEdwards.
  • Ability to replenish racks.
  • Ability to dispose of obsolete/expired inventory.
  • Ability to produce collection kits.
  • Ability to complete cycle count sheets.
  • Ability to pick and distribute production, R&D and collection kit orders.
  • Ability to allocate deliveries of non-controlled materials.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
  • Compliance with U.S. laws.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains high standards of organization, cleanliness, and safety within warehouse.
  • Accepts loads from suppliers, examines containers for damage and communicates with appropriate individuals if there is missing or damaged inventory.
  • Inspects receiving documents to ensure they are complete with necessary information and notifying purchasing team when documents are missing or incorrect.
  • Verifies material and quantity going into stock, and accurately transacts part, lot number, unit of measure and quantity, in and out of JDEdwards.
  • Replenishes racks in dedicated warehouse location, after quality inspection has been completed.
  • Dispose of obsolete/expired inventory as directed.
  • Produce collection kits as requested by purchasing department.
  • Completes cycle count sheets as provided by manager. Request second check on discrepancies.
  • Picks production, R&D and collection kit orders in the warehouse and distributes to the requesting department.
  • Allocates deliveries of non-controlled materials to their designated place.
  • Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.
