Receiving Quality Assurance Specialist 3
About The Position
The Receiving Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for signing off on incoming merchandise shipments in the warehouse. The specialist inspects merchandise to confirm that B&H received the correct items and that they are in perfect condition. After completing the inspection, the specialist records the shipment as received in the Warehouse Management system, after which B&H releases payment to the vendor. The role is based in the Fulfillment department and has scheduled hours of Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The work takes place in a warehouse environment. Eligibility is contingent upon background screening.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of pallet processing experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to resolve pallet math problems.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Strong computer knowledge.
- Ability to operate a hand scanner to enter data into a Warehouse Management system.
Responsibilities
- Inspect received merchandise for damage, determine product condition through problem solving, and reconcile warehouse order slips.
- Determine the appropriate use of barcodes when products have multiple barcodes.
- Process shipments that do not reconcile against orders.
- Enter the weight and dimensions of new products into the computer system.
- Ensure quality testing takes place at all times in the warehouse.
- Document vendor complaints, such as missing packing slips or missing barcodes.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
