About The Position

The Receiving Operator II manages the receiving process by inspecting, recording, and unloading products that support Purple manufacturing. The role coordinates with the warehouse manager and purchasing to develop lean, efficient receiving practices. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventory records, storing and distributing materials, and operating a forklift to move stock.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.
Verify inventory computations against physical stock counts and investigate discrepancies or correct errors.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the receiving area.
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock locations.
Keep records of stock use and damage, including damage to stock-handling equipment.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects and report damage to supervisors.
Transfer damaged or defective items or return them to designated areas.
Drive a forklift to pick up incoming stock or deliver parts to designated locations.
Maintain records of inventories, shortages, shipments, and goods used or issued.
Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers based on incoming requisitions.
Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.
