About The Position

Milgard Windows & Doors is seeking a driven and experienced Receiving Lead to oversee daily operations within the Receiving Department. In this role, you will lead and support a team, ensure materials are received accurately and safely, and partner cross-functionally to keep production running efficiently. Requirements

  • Forklift experience is required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in receiving, material handling, or warehouse operations
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) required
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations, including fractions
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Prolonged standing on concrete floors (up to 12 hours)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform repetitive tasks
  • Good hand-eye coordination and visual accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • Crane experience strongly preferred
  • Customer service or internal partner support experience preferred
  • Glass handling or window/door manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Some college preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Oversee all receiving activities, ensuring materials match purchase orders, quantities are accurate, and items are undamaged
  • Lead and support team members to meet departmental goals and performance expectations
  • Coordinate and schedule waste and recycling pickups
  • Partner with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to prevent stockouts and maintain workflow
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inventory processes
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the department
