Job Summary Responsible for inspecting incoming materials, parts, and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications before being accepted into inventory or production. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field a plus.
2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Strong knowledge of various measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) and their proper use.
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to accurately document inspection results and generate reports.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and finished goods against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase orders.
Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, to verify product conformity.
Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including acceptance, rejection, and any identified non-conformances.
Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials and collaborate with quality engineering, procurement, and suppliers to resolve issues.
Verify supplier certifications, test reports, and other required documentation for incoming shipments.
Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company quality procedures.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities as needed.
Assist with inventory control and material handling as required.
