About The Position

Optim Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Receiving Specialist/Coordinator for its Savannah location. The role handles incoming freight and supply distribution, supports inventory operations, and coordinates outbound shipping. It requires general knowledge of medical supplies and equipment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment. The position supports the supply and related clinical equipment needs for orthopedic and spine patient treatment. Work takes place in a clinical environment and may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, germicidal agents, and anesthesia gases. Annual training includes completion of all Safety, Infection Control, and E-Learning courses.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Previous experience and a general understanding of medical supplies and equipment.
Ability to work in a generally unsupervised environment.
Ability to work under high-paced, stressful situations.
Ability to meet the role’s physical demands, including full range of body motion, frequent extended standing and walking or other mobility, and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Normal visual acuity and hearing.
Ability to work under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.

Knowledge of general supply chain logistics and concepts.

Responsibilities

Unload and check in incoming freight according to established protocols to ensure system integrity.
Communicate receiving discrepancies to Purchasing for resolution.
Deliver and restock incoming orders.
Support and assist Inventory Coordinators with cycle and periodic inventories, bin maintenance, and min/max levels.
Consolidate supplies kept in multiple bin locations whenever possible.
Coordinate outbound shipping requirements for the location.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Complete annual Safety, Infection Control, and E-Learning training.
