Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and processes.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations is preferred.
  • Experience in a non-profit organization or similar setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the receiving of all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of received items and update inventory management systems accordingly.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding discrepancies or issues with shipments.
  • Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the receiving area to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Support the inventory team in conducting regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal departments and external partners.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations related to receiving and inventory management.
