About The Position

JAM Industries, a leading distributor of consumer electronic goods, pro-audio equipment, and musical instruments since 1972, is seeking a Receiving Clerk for its Southaven, MS location. American Music & Sound (AM&S), a part of JAM, is an independent distributor of Pro Audio, Music Creation, and Musical Instrument products. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service through efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years working in a distribution center in a Receiving Department.
Minimum of 1 year Reach Truck experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
Excellent communications skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated organizational ability and follow-through.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team as well as autonomously.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent Customer Service Skills.
Strong sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

Experience with returns and RMA's preferred.
Reach Truck certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate an order picker, reach truck, sit down counterbalance, or powered pallet jack.
Performs put away of merchandise.
Confirming that all boxes/skids are accounted for from the transport bill.
Shelving the stock in the appropriate warehouse locations.
Accurately receive, transfer, and check UPC labeled inventory using an RF scan-gun.
Handling product returns.
Distributing RMAs (return merchandize authorizations).
Identify inventory discrepancies in Service Stock.
Carrying out additional duties such as packing and labeling items for picking and general warehouse maintenance.
