About The Position

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate receipt, verification, documentation, inventory control, and movement of incoming materials, components, serialized assets, and outsourced processing returns supporting manufacturing operations. This position ensures inventory accuracy, material traceability, serialized asset accountability, and compliance with company, customer, and quality system requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and inventory accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, warehouse, inventory control, or receiving experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Experience handling serialized inventory and traceability records preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials, components, tooling, supplies, and outsourced processing returns.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, revisions, lot numbers, serial numbers, and documentation against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Perform count verification and visual inspection for shipping damage or discrepancies.
  • Process accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.
  • Generate and apply inventory, lot, and serialized asset identification labels.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and proper material identification throughout the receiving process.
  • Segregate and report damaged, discrepant, or non-conforming material.
  • Perform other duties, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support business needs.
  • Perform serial number verification for all serialized inventory received.
  • Accurately record serialized assets within ERP and inventory tracking systems.
  • Maintain complete traceability and accountability of serialized assets.
  • Ensure controlled inventory is properly identified, secured, and stored.
  • Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits involving serialized inventory.
  • Immediately report inventory, traceability, or serial number discrepancies.
  • Prepare material for shipment to approved outside processing suppliers.
  • Verify quantities, lot numbers, and serial numbers prior to shipment.
  • Generate packing slips, transfer documentation, and inventory transactions.
  • Track material sent to outside processing and monitor return status.
  • Receive and verify returned material, certifications, and process documentation.
  • Maintain traceability and inventory accuracy throughout the outside processing cycle.
  • Verify receipt of required certifications and supporting documentation.
  • Support ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Move material to designated inspection, warehouse, or production locations.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain organized receiving, warehouse, and controlled inventory areas.
  • Participate in cycle counting, inventory audits, and continuous improvement activities.
