About The Position

Sheridan Lebanon Junction, a CJK Company, provides high-quality publication and book printing services. Our talented teams and strong capabilities transform ideas into results. With continued growth ahead, we are looking for someone interested in learning and career advancement opportunities, to join our Warehouse team as a Receiving Clerk. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating and executing daily receiving operations, ensuring that incoming materials, products, and supplies are accurately documented, inspected, and stored. This role provides guidance and support to team members as needed, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to team members in a collaborative manner
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Basic math and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education or certifications a plus
  • Significant experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory operations preferred
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness
  • Document and record all received materials, including lot numbers, quantities, and condition
  • Provide guidance and support to other receiving team members, sharing best practices and ensuring adherence to procedures
  • Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts as required
  • Perform daily pre-operation equipment inspections and maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies related to powered industrial equipment
  • Collaborate with production, shipping, and inventory teams to ensure timely processing and storage of received materials
  • Identify damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials and assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory records in accordance with company policies
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and receiving standards
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Suggest improvements to receiving processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
