About The Position

Verifies and keeps records on incoming shipments and places goods in their designated storage locations. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring smooth operations within the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

Ability to operate a sit down and stand-up forklift and material handling equipment safely.
Ability to lift heavy cartons weighing eighty (80) pounds.
Must have legible handwriting.
Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time throughout the defined shift.
Good reasoning powers.
Self-motivated individual.
Capable of working alone.
Able to effectively communicate with team members.
Visual acuity to read instructions and operate equipment.
High School Diploma or GED.
Previous experience operating a forklift.
Working knowledge of inventory process.

Responsibilities

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments.
Routes items to correct departments.
Places received items on correct storage locations.
Sends and receives WIP to heat treat and maintain required paperwork.
Stages scrap lead/zinc for truckload shipments to vendor.
Writes receivers for incoming shipments.
Monitors lead, zinc, and carton inventories by visual checks.
Uses WMS for receipts and put away/moves.
Performs daily cycle counts.
Meets company’s attendance standards.
Performs other duties, as requested or required.
Works overtime when needed.
