About The Position

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving materials procured by Altek Electronics.

Requirements

  • PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • ABILITY TO READ & UNDERSTAND ASSEMBLY PRINTS
  • ABILITY TO WORK IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION
  • High School Diploma / Ged or equivalent work experience in a related area.
  • Work experience in the applicable area is preferred.
  • Applicants must be aware of ITAR restricted hiring practices and consult the latest ITAR regulations regarding restrictions that may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Receive purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials in a timely manner.
  • Examine items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
  • Compare quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
  • Confirm required paperwork has been submitted with shipment or electronically.
  • Maintain quality records including inspection reports, etc.
  • Document shipping issues, working with Purchasing and Quality Engineering.
  • Determine conformance to work instructions, IPC or J-STD standards, and internal Quality/workmanship standards.
  • Create Non Conforming Materials Reports when required.
  • Distribute chemicals to manufacturing areas.
  • Support with the resolution of quality problems.
  • Actively participate in quality initiatives by participating in problem solving, process improvements and performance measurements.
  • Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Requisition and store receiving and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S.
