About The Position
The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a seasonal Receiving Clerk to support their San Benito Foods plant in Hollister, CA. This role is crucial for the fresh pack season, typically running from June to October. The primary responsibilities include providing drivers with the correct Processor Tomato Advisory Board paperwork, verifying the accuracy of information on the State Tag, and reconciling and filing all associated paperwork in the company's system in a timely manner. This is a temporary position essential for the smooth operation of the tomato receiving process during peak season.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, and Excel.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to interact with truck drivers, employees, management, and State Employees in courteous and respectful manner.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
Responsibilities
- Receive the State Tag from grading station.
- Prepares the request day tag for the driver with all the correct information and gives the proper paperwork to drivers.
- Issue day tag with their designated load # according to the number of loads required.
- Know all the functions to properly receive and/or correct errors.
- Trains new employees when needed.
