About The Position

The Receiving Clerk position is responsible for receiving, processing, and delivery of incoming shipments for OHSU. This position receives PO's into the Oracle system. Deliveries are made across the OHSU and Waterfront campus on a daily basis using push carts, and electric carts. This position has limited involvement with the sorting of mail, and packages received through the OHSU Central Mail room. This position works independently with limited supervision. This position coordinates the use of the dock and manages freight deliveries.

Requirements

  • Entry level experience performing stores and inventory work.
  • Training or experience providing knowledge of inventory control systems, and transportation agencies and shipping methods (Amazon Purchasing).
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to OHSU.
  • Customer service skills/must be personable.
  • Ability to operate a wide array of warehouse equipment including forklifts, handtrucks, pallet jacks, dolleys, and electric carts.
  • Ability to learn, and retain customer names, and delivery locations.
  • Ability to type at least 30wpm, and experience with 10 key.
  • Ability to think independently, and direct carriers to correct delivery locations.
  • "Dangerous Goods Shipping" online course is required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years in a Shipping & Receiving environment.
  • Experience with Oracle system.
  • Experience with digital package receiving systems.
  • 1 year of forklift experience.
  • Experience handling customer service inquiries.
  • Knowledge of the OHSU campus is helpful.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Hazmat certification.
  • Radiation Safety certification.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading incoming shipments.
  • Receiving shipments into the Oracle system.
  • Entering of packages into the SQBX system.
  • Sorting shipments for campus delivery.
  • Delivering shipments to specific rooms around the OHSU campus.
  • Sorting and delivery of mail.
  • Freight Management.
  • Miscellaneous labor duties as assigned by management team.
