About The Position

Capital Electric is seeking a Receiving Associate for their Charlotte, NC location. This role is responsible for accurately receiving material into the facility, checking, and stocking it with care and precision to ensure products are ready for customer orders. Capital Electric is an electrical products and services provider for contractors and is part of the Sonepar group, a global electrical distributor.

Requirements

• 2+ years operating a sit down, stand up or cherry picker forklift
• Detailed oriented
• Good and dependable mathematic, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic

Responsibilities

• Organizing and transporting freight on the dock, including loading and unloading trailers without damaging products.
• Receiving large boxes on the warehouse dock (UPS/FedEx).
• Scanning all product with an RF scanner and inputting product information into the computer.
• Breaking down cases of product and operating heavy equipment to replenish the warehouse.
• Scanning and toting pallets for put away.
• Driving material handling equipment as required by job duty.
• Operating equipment such as order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
• Potential for cross-training in multiple warehouse areas including Inbound, Outbound, Wire, and Pipe/Conduit.
