The Receiving Assistant is responsible for assisting the Receiving Manager in the successful operation of the receiving department. This role involves providing world-class customer service, exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence, and adhering to all policies. The assistant helps in accurately receiving all incoming products, scanning products, staging products for the sales floor, processing various paperwork, and researching discrepancies. They also communicate delivery issues, follow up on special orders, operate a forklift and pallet jack, and maintain a clean back room. Additionally, this position supports store opening and closing activities, handles register functions, ensures safety and security, assists in training, and provides backup on the sales floor when receiving duties are complete. The role also involves answering customer questions, increasing product knowledge, and using various software programs. The schedule is based on store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, requiring 40 hours per week. This position has limited Manager on Duty responsibilities but is not the overall store Manager on Duty.
