About The Position

US Foods is seeking Day Receivers in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for checking inbound product against receiving paperwork to ensure that products match the order in quantity, pack size, and are labeled accordingly. The Receiver also ensures product conditions meet acceptable government and company requirements, which helps maintain accurate inventory records and ensures customers receive the correct, high-quality product.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/ required
• A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required
• Able to read & write legibly
• basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• good verbal communication skills
• basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• previous comparable warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
• Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.
• Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded.
• Verify quantity of each product to ensure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
• Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection, and inventory tracking.
• Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA, and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
