About The Position

Receivers make sure customers have a great experience by ensuring deliveries have been properly received and organized to allow for efficient stocking of product. They also help to ensure customers are greeted, offer timely and friendly service, maintain a clean, well-stocked and faced department for a positive shopping experience. Their main duties include helping customers, receiving and stocking product, making products look attractive, health and safety standards, and general store support.

Requirements

  • Able to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and suppliers; uses active listening, patience, and clear communication to ensure a respectful and professional experience; timely follow up and documentation of issues or discrepancies with deliveries
  • Able to proactively organize and plan for upcoming deliveries, prioritizing stocking based on demand to take responsibility for creating great customer and team experiences
  • Able to show up each day in a timely manner ready to work; shows strong follow-through
  • Able to review deliveries and invoices for accuracy, quality, and properly document; ability to identify discrepancies
  • Able to keep track of incoming delivery schedule including special orders, manage time, and prioritize effectively to process perishable items in a timely manner to prevent spoilage; maintain an organized and safe backstock area
  • Able to contribute to a welcoming environment for customers and team members; respects people from a variety of backgrounds and abilities
  • Basic computer skills including ability to draft and upload documents, email, and navigate Excel spreadsheets
  • Basic math skills; ability to timely and accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Frequent stationary tasks, along with regular movement within the grocery and storage areas
  • Frequent positioning is required to access both low and high shelving, equipment, and products
  • Frequent movement of containers weighing up to 60 lbs
  • Frequent handling of packaged grocery items
  • Ability to ascend/descend a ladder to reach high shelving
  • Utilize various equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, lifts, a baler, computers, and printers
  • Exchanging accurate information in person, over the phone, and through email and other written communication
  • Frequent work in a walk-in cooler and freezer
  • Exposure to sanitizer, cleaning products, and loud noises
