About The Position

Our Receiver checks incoming merchandise and preps packages for mailing, keeps price books and catalogs up-to-date and unloads the Home Hardware delivery truck from the distribution centre. Additionally, when not receiving they assist Retail Sales Associate in providing prompt courteous and efficient service to customers, replenishing merchandise; cycle counting, general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, and restocking.

Requirements

• Safety conscious with experience in safe use of equipment (i.e. pallet jack)
• Visual/Spatial aptitude
• Basic math skills
• Computer literate (inventory system databases)
• Customer Service Experience
• Able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
• Able to be on your feet all day (walk/stand)
• Responsible and dependable
• Ability to Work Holidays and Weekends
• Above and Beyond Customer Service Attitude
• Excellent Communication Skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a receiver in a warehouse environment an asset
• Hardware, Lumber & Building materials industry knowledge a plus!
• Retail Background is an Asset
